Why do files, folders, tasks, and/or registries remain after the Lumu Agent is uninstalled in Windows?

Summary

When uninstalling the Windows Lumu Agent, some remaining information of the Lumu Windows Agent may still be present in the machine.

Details

After uninstalling the Windows Lumu Agent, some related files may remain in the machine, such as:

  1. Files and folders inside "Program Files (x86) /Lumu"
  2. Lumu update tasks in the Windows Task Scheduler
  3. Lumu services running in Task Manager > Services
  4. Some registries inside the “Lumu” collection in the path “Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Lumu\

These files are going to be erased in the next scheduled update task. The scheduled task of the Lumu update can take up to 24 hours maximum to run automatically. However, the empty Lumu folder in “Program Files (x86)” as well as the empty registry collection may remain after the update task run. In such a case, these files can be deleted manually.
