Gmail for Google Workspace Out-of-the-Box Data Collection Integration

Requirements

  • Google License
    • Google Workspace Business Starter or above
    • Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals or above
  • Lumu License
    • An active Lumu Insights or Lumu Defender subscription

Add integration

1. Log in to your Lumu account through the Lumu Portal and navigate to the integrations screen.

2. Locate the Gmail for Google Workspace integration in the available apps area and click to add, then click to view details.

3. Familiarize yourself with the integration details available in the app description and click the button below to activate the integration.

4. To activate the integration, click on the activate button. After reading the instructions, click again on the activate button. Make sure you have pop-ups enabled for the next step.

5. The Google sign-in will look like the following.Remember to sign in with an administrator account. Only an account with administrator privileges can grant full access to an organization.


6. After authenticating your account, you will be redirected to our application in Google Workspace Marketplace. Once in Google Workspace Marketplace, install the Lumu Technologies app. This app is only available for Admin Install, so make sure you are logged in on an Administrator account. Click on Admin install.

7. You will see a pop-up with information about Admin install. Click on continue.

8. Now, you can choose if you want to install the app for Everyone at your organization, or for Certain groups or organizational units. Choose the one that best suits your needs, accept agreements, and click on Finish.

9. You will see a pop-up notifying you that the Lumu Technologies app has been installed. Click on Done.

10. To finish the configuration, click on the Bento menu button, on the left of your account menu. Search for the Lumu Technologies app and click on it.

11. Back in the portal, you must now give a description of your integration in Lumu Portal, as well as selecting the scope for mail analysis. Click on activate.

12. Your integration is now created and active. The Lumu Portal will display the details of the created integration.
